I usually eat at the original oyster house, But if you want a good meal for a great price go to the shrimp basket.

Eat at the Tin Top, it's the best restaurant in Orange beach area, bar none. Everything on the menu is good, but you have got to get the sauteed crab claws appetizer (dip your bread in the cream suace). The Tin Top is off the beaten path so go to their website to get directions (

Thanks Guys, we will be down till Sunday and will probably eat out about two or three nights. Living in the New Orleans area we get spoiled with Awesome restaurants and the best seafood in the world. We have been down before, just been awhile. Try to stay away from the places that have everything fried and taste the same! We will be bringing some shrimp and other goodies from our neck of the woods.

I was starting to think that I was the only one on here that had eaten there. That place is fantastic!!

Unkljohn, you aint the only one on the Tin Top band wagon. Best restraunt in the area to me hands down. +1 on the crab claws. And if you are looking for fresh seafood, Billy's is less than a mile down the road.
If youre looking for a great lunch spot try Desoto's. Great seafood and really good vegatable plates.
Shrimp basket is a good lunch spot too. The one in Gulf shores is always packed. Hit the one in orange beach, same food less crowd.

http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=66960&start=15You have to go to Gino's Fresh Catch at Zeke's Marina.
Best food down there behind Louisana Lagniappe and Cobalt(so I hear, have not been yet).

I really liked Guy Harvey's Island Grill its at the Wharf in orange beach. Doc's is also pretty good. Do not waste the money on the Red's and Rib's that place is high as camel conch and it was not that good.
