from what I heard, they dont make them in 3 1/2 cause Benelli doesnt want to take any sales away from the SBE. That may or may not be the case.

IT IS THE BEST 3'' SHOTGUN FOR THE MONEY ON THE MARKET TODAY. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. NEVER HAD A MISFIRE. DONT MATTER WHAT SHELL YOU PUT IN MINE.

Check out the Mossberg SA20. I have one and I recently bought the Bantam model for my daughter.
