I use a Duck Commander.
No seriously, I like a double reed call since they take less skill to use. I'll be the 1st to admit that I'm not real good with calling, but getting better. I'll be moving this weekend, and my drive to work will be over an hour, so I'll have plenty of time to practice in the car. Anyone else do this?

I like single reeds they are much more versatile. The double reeds have very little changes in the sounds. If you go with double I would recommend the wench by primos. I have several buddies over there at primos and they make a great call. The Acrylic PHAT Lady by primos (to answer your question about it) is a great sounding call. They are coming out with some new colors for their acrylics. The acrylic PHAT lady is my new open water call. I love the sound of it. I have a Yo' Sista and it is a good call for close up work and timber. I like my dixie mallards too. They are my favorite timber calls. And I like my RNT short barrel for my timber too. They are all good just gotta learn the calls man. You need to just go in a sporting goods store and ask if you can blow them. Most places don't care as long as you don't. Just my 2 cents.

Not since one of the local hayseed cops in "left Mississippi" pulled me over thinking I was hitting a bong.......no kidding......some society we live in now, huh?
Then there was the time I got pulled over in Walnut, Mississippi and searched for having the audacity to have tried to transport a monkey tree plant back to Blue Springs for my Grandmother in the back of the truck......no officer, it does not look anything like marijuana to me....wanna check my duck call for residue......
