Brushing a Field Blind

That cane is called roseau cane(pronounced rowe-zoe) or common reed (Phragmites australis). Most people refer to them as "roseaus". Thats what everyone uses in SE Louisiana and it makes for good cover thoughout the season. We usually cut a couple of extra bundles and throw them behind the blind to touch up as the season moves along. Beware when your cutting them...the stobs you leave behind are like spears and will cut you bad if your not carfeful.
If your blind is in a fairly fresh area and you put the roseaus in green you can get them to naturalize and come back the next year...this cuts back on your work and gives the blind a more natural look.
