outdoor activities?
i run a youth football league in north mississippi... and run the video camera
for my son's high school football games. coach my daughter's softball in
the summer.
and hunting? it is always with my son. duck deer turkey geese. whatever
is in season. he is a 15 y/o hunting nut, and i just try to keep up with him.
catch bream with a fly rod, and reds & king mack on light tackle in the gulf.
the whole family likes to water ski & wakeboard.
play a terrible game of golf, but i get my money's worth.... more shots for
the dollar.
and the family vegetable garden... where we grow stuff for home made salsa,
blueberries and grapes for jelly, and pears for the neighborhood labs.
(ever seen a black lab eat pears off a tree??)

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
These are things I love to do but don't always get to do all of them every year because I pastor a church and work another full time job.
1. Hunting - duck, goose, deer, hog, turkey, dove.
2. Fishing
3. Camping
4. Trapping
5. Horse training and riding.
Ah, the days of youth, where lack of responsibility allowed me to do all of them every year.
Nevertheless I'm thankful for every opportunity I get. There was a period of about 10 years I didn't to do any of those things.

1. Saltwater Fishing (When I get the chance to get back to Cocodrie!)
2. Duck hunting (Flooded timber is my weakness)
3. Watching my Dogs work!
3. Deer Hunting with my wife! (she keeps me warm until the sunrises!)
4. Bow Hunting Deer or Hogs
5. Dove Hunting with buddies.
6. Boiled Shrimp and crown and seven
7. Salty raw oysters and a suace with enough horseradish to choke a mule!
8. Crawfish (hot and nasty) with a bunch of friends.
9. Deer Tenderlions fresh off the deer grilled to perfection.

How well can you know someone on this board?
What they type is many times what they want you to hear.
So this is what I want you to hear about me.
I love my family
I value friendship more than most
I always try to be honest in what I say and what I do.
I value the out of doors for far more reasons than most. I still love to walk down a creek watching a leaf float and seeing how the water works it. I love the sound of the southbound goose, the shrill voice of the wood duck and flush of the snipe. I even love the sudden appearance of a deer or the lunge of a bass. These are the things I value. I love life but do not fear death. My cup is always half empty never half full. Many times when the fall time of the year comes I feel I have lost another year and that I should have done more.
I love the smell of fresh rain, the taste of snow and the feel of the wind.
I value the days with friends that give me memories to live on in those days when I feel lost.
The worth of a man is how he sees life, How he lives life. We are so very insignificant in the main scheme of things, and it humors me in how much people value themselves over everything else.
You want to get to know some of the others on this site the best way to start is with yourself.
Better tomorrow.

And I was so hopeful of a good debate.
No debate because most of us probably didn't think debate was necessary. The first post asked about our favorite outdoor activities.
I have been posting on MSDUcks for quite some time now and have often wondered what other outdoor hobbies some of the regulars (and not so regulars) have other than duck hunting.
We weren't asked to bare our souls or give our philosphies of life.

I enjoyed your post but didn't see any thing worth fussin' about.
