I aint ever figured it out. I caught hell when I moved from Tx.. Everyone said that hunting over a corn feeder aint very sportsman like. But they sure don't slinging a clip full of lead at a running deer.
I don't care for dog hunting at all. But I am not gonna shoot the dog. The owner is another story.. IMO, if you can't keep contol of your dogs you shouldn't have them.

They may as well do away with thJanuary primitive weapon season anyway. What the heck is primitive about an inline muzzle loader with a scope on it? The primitive weapon season should be for bows only and it should be in October.

I just want the idiots that ride four-wheelers up and down the road until the dogs get close to the road then jump off and shoot a 45lb doe. Can you say Accomplishment!!!
Here are the three keys to stop dog hunting:
1) Shoot
2) Shovel
3) Shut-up
Have a nice day

Yep, and add in a $2,500 fine and some jail time for doing so.

You can get into some serious trouble these days shooting dogs, if it is proven true. Our club was founded on running dogs. I necessarily do not agree with it, but I choose to hunt when the dogs are in the pen.

The problems I have with it is:
1) it takes the sport out of hunting
2) Folks do not have respect for PRIVATE owners
3) If they cant here there dog barking, they leave em and just let them run around until one of us stumble upon it.
I wish they would ban the entire thing. The hunting clubs we have in this area are called
"Management Clubs". Manage to shoot everything that stumbles onto the pavement

dang ole dogs didn't set themselves out to run across you - the owners did (some more lowdown than others). the dogs are innocent in this. i don't disagree with catching the dogs and holding them for the owners to come get and talking to the owner, or scaring the dogs with a shot in front of or behind them if you can't catch them, but not killing the dogs.
i am guilty of peppering a couple of dogs someone let out to "excercise" (and I made sure they were a good 60 yds away before i shot) that were circling me in my duckhole in the center of our lease while they were chasing a swamp rabbit - flaring ducks for over an hour. after they got peppered with steel shot, they didn't bother me anymore that season and i DID tell the owner what i did and why i did it (he didn't have a problem with it b/c he knew i didn't intend on maming or killing the dogs)!

Neither, she was just out of the house, Its bad when you have 1000 acres and cant even let your dog out of the house. The SOB killed her and my dads lab.
Found the dogs shot a few days later right off our property line. With the collars removed.
Hell we lease another 300 acres just to keep people with this type mindset the Hell away from us!!!!!!!!!!
