Tankless Water Heater

Rinnai as well. I might call and see if we have a problem but I've heard this before.

I have the Rinnai 9.5I (or 9.8I can't remember) on one end of the house and a Rheem on the other. I've never noticed a change in temperature on either one. Set the temperature where you want it on the digital guage and then just turn the hot on max and it should be at that temperature without having to adjust the cold at all. We have ours set on 130F and the kids end set on either 110 or 120.

I have two Myson Tankless gas water heaters here if you know anybody that wants one.......i'll get rid of them for cheap......we remodeled and added some space and had to go with the newer bigger models to get more gallons per minute.

Just put a Takagi in the house we re-modeled and freaking love it. Got rid of both of the hot water tanks and put it in a cabinet in my bathroom. It runs 3 bathrooms, laundry room, and kitchen without any problems. Cost about $1,500 including installation.

There are electric tankless heaters available. I have installed a few but don't see them being very efficient. Whereas a standard 50 gallon heater uses 9 kw while heating, the electric models use 20 kw when heating water. They wokred extremely well with no temp swings and all the hot water you could stand, but that meter was zinging it while they were on. Of course the gas 50 gallon only burns at around 15,000 btu whereas the tankless gas burns at 160,000 to 180,000 btu which is also not very efficient.
