Askew
Re: Askew
I've hunted there about 10 or 11 years and dukhunter is right. Anytime DU gets involved it changes everything. At least they did put pump in the North field.

Re: Askew
if you have a boat put in the river and hunt the west side.you only have to walk about 100 yards.that is if the west side is holding water.there is some good holes next to the river.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things

Re: Askew
I agree about the pumping situation. "They" are pumping a field off to the left of the shop that is grown up taller than I am. As far as I know there is no hole in the middle of it, so what's the point in doing that? "They" didn't do anything with the fields to open up places for ducks to land. How does it go so far down from one year to the next...and last year was no spectacle.

good luck with that you be sure and try that on a good rainy day ok........and its more than any hundred yards to the river form that duck pond.....and all those holes use to rely on rain. that is until they drove those big dozers around there and took out most of those little pot holes.........and they will pump those fields right at the end of the season.......you can bet every hole that can hold water will be full up by the first week in FEB. yall can thank DU for all that.......

If the gates wee not closed that place would look like the place I hunted with you a coupld of weeks ago. So rutted up you could not get a 4 wheeler thru it and 30 trucks parked at the gate.
