some more old school...

if you ever duck hunted in a wool sock cap that had one of those fruity little balls on the end of it...when it was real cold....

if you used to cut the boots off your old leaky waders to make "house shoes"...

if you only would shoot a humpback.....

You carry a plastic garbage bag in your coat to slip over your foot in case your waders still leak.
You remember most the ducks and their Point Value.
You remember your first goose down coat. ( 1978 won at DU banquet in Indianola).( burnt it up 4 weeks later at a Boy Scout campout)
You know a Ford Pinto 3 speed can cross a 20 yard muddy low area on a turn row reaching the approach speed of 78mph to safely slide you across.
You remember your fist sight of a snow goose.. ( Lake Dawson 1976)...
You kept some lead 7 1/2 for cripples.

Do you remember how waterproof a goose down jacket was?
Do you remember what you used to hold your redball waders up when you lost the suspenders?
Answer:What ever you could find- hemp rope, twine, shoestrings, and my all time best-100 mph duct tape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I aint that old and I know the poly choke. haha. if it makes a comeback I want to see Tom Knapp shoot one.

And my first pair of wader's had a drawsting, and the waders had beltloops. I had an old leather belt to hold mine up.

I thought it was the shiznit when they came out with the stocking foot wader liners. You could put them on with "last years Converse Allstars" and out run any game warden from the roost shoot!

I had a friend who dam near unscrewed the poly choke of his gun from turning it so much. He would sit there and watch the ducks constintly turning from full to impoved and they worked.

How many remember the first pair of water proof gloves they got. Gates was the first thing I can remember that had GORE TEX.

Gore Tex was big deal when it came...a vast improvement over an old green army jacket...

What do you mean had????????????? My redball backups have!!!!!!!!!!!!

The green rubber waders with drawstrings were old skool...the brown red balls were the newer pimped out models....
