I have seen alot of Echo's out there but I've never hunted with anybody that had one. Would you say that most of their calls are pretty good or just this one in particular?

Other than their XLT model, I haven't had any complaints, whether it be a single or double reed. I prefer acrylic, but you're looking at about $140. Their mid-level calls start at about $40. The all wood calls are like $80.

I'd get a cocobolo Echo timber. The RNT Timbre is available in wood or acrylic.

Farmer, I know a guy that's trying to sell an RNT short barrell smoke acrylic and a cocobola original. He was only asking $100.00 for the pair. I can ask if he still has them and if he would seperate them if you like.

I've got a RNT Timbre in Cocobolo I'll sell you for $50 plus shipping. Practically brand new with bag and box. Call is one year old.

Calls are made of materials other than wood?

Yep, RNT Timbre's are all wood (barrell and insert). Single reed. Raspy and Nasty.

Sure are........polycarbonate, acrylic, stabilized burl, corian, micarta.....etc.

I think that I am going to keep shopping, not that those aren't good deals but I really just don't know what I want, and really don't want to rush as any of those would easily be the most costly call on my lanyard. I'll be certain to contact you tho if I settle on any of those 3 calls. Thanks again.

Oh, yeah, I remember now...back when I bought my last call in 1978, Olt did make one out of black plastic. So calls are made from materials other than wood.

I still can't get used to seeing red, yellow, green, blue and chartreuse calls. Guess I'm old school - wood has worked very well for a long time.

I have a Echo Timber acrylic and I love it. It is without a doubt the best call that I have ever owned.
