I dont think I would be running back to the truck to worry abour messingup his head, I WOULD BLOW HIS HEAD OFF TOO...........FORGET ABOUT MOUNTING A SNAKE :lol:

I caught one a few weeks ago in my driveway though only 10" long. Had the exact same coloration as that in the picture. Snake was too young to have any "rattles." I did notice that when I would taunt the snake, he would coil-up like I've never seen, shake his tail a bit, and strike with a vengeance at the glass.

Did a little web research since I had never encountered a snake of this color and it appears as either a Western Pygmy Rattlesnake or a Dusky Rattlesnake. Could have been either.

I did release this snake unharmed in a field far, far away from my home.

My wife is concerned about the location of its' "Momma."
