YUK!! on the canvasbacks!! That is really dissapointing they had such a poor year, I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to hopefully two cans again this year. Oh well maybe next year. HOpefully there will be enough pintail and Cans to at least kill them the entire season.

Well, you're not going to like this then. Word floating around the duck boards is that the season on cans will be closed for '08-09. :cry:

I am expecting the same thing. I think at best it's 30 day season. But I really expect it to be a very good chance of being closed this year.

I think someone needs to film some canvasback and pintail porn, and get DU to fund a few movie screens in the pothole regions. Maybe that would help with numbers since nothing else is.
