never saw that episode...I think we should send the Mythbusters a note that they need to try that out with the Hooter Shooter that the boys over at Spot Hogg build...I think they would disagree with the Mythbusters on this one....

I saw that episode also, and after robinhooding an arrow myself I looked it up. The show said you could not split a wooden arrow down the length of the shaft. The wood would splinter or part of the shaft would break off before the entire length of the arrow would split. So the myth had to do with solid wood arrows, not hollow carbon arrows.
