Not ducks but killed during duck season. Bald Eagle at Bay Pointe on the Rez, Red Tailed Hawk on a power pole near Mound City, Blue Heron in the Bouge Philia. :D

Common Goldeneye hen

I also saw a black swan 2 or 3 times, the same year. Those are common in Australia. I think this was an escapee from a local waterfowl zoo up around Caledonia. They make wierd noises. This one was fun to watch through binoculars and I got a little video footage with it's natural 'calls'.

This was killed on the Tenn Tomm by a guy from AL that frequents this board. This is the rarest one I know of other than the banded Pintail from Japan.

The Cape Shelduck is native to Africa and had to come from an aviary as they are pretty comon in captivity.

I suspect the shellduck and the black swan were both escapees from the waterfowl aviary/zoo around Caledonia. Every now and then, one will just take a notion to go sight-seeing, I guess.

'Haven't seen the black swan since the 97-98 season. Musta got mistaken for a cormmorant. Really interesting bird, though. Kinda neat just watching him/her and listening to the unusual calls it made.

Other than that, all I see is red-bellied pied-billed skybusters. Member of the Podicapedidea family along with 'grebes'
(webbed, lobates). Lobates, alright.

Was in the blind when a skunk head was killed on Tunica Cutoff. Also in the blind when an old man I was hunting with killed a sholever/gad cross.

I killed a Silver phase Gad a couple of years ago, Thinking of that I need to get in touch with Pat and see if he has the mount finished.?????????

Maybe showing my ignorance here, but, what is a skunkhead?

I would say in my experience thought anything with feathers and that quacks is pretty rare.
