Pat, aka the waterfowler, was a big inspiration in my hunting travels and I'm proud to call him friend. Forrest is spending a week up there this summer learning the taxidermy trade.

I guess if I died tommorrow it could be said all goals were achieved. Everything from guiding North American Whitetail on some of TX's preiminent ranches to banding waterfowl to wingshooting from Ab to Argentina, all US flyways. Everything else is gravy, but hope to still sop a lot of it up. My only real quests now include family, friends and places; the full "context" of waterfowling.


My advice: do it now. No guarantees later will be there for you.

1. Hunt a season in Alaska for Grizzly, Moose, & Sheep
2. Hunt the flyway an entire season from Canada to the Gulf
3. Harvest a P&Y buck with my bow on my own land
4. Watch my dad harvest a P&Y buck with his bow on our land
5. Go Peacock Bass fishing in South America
6. Hunt New Zealand from a helicopter
7. Turkey Grand Slam
8. Harvest a P&Y elk with my bow out West
9. Watch my dad harvest a P&Y elk with his bow out West
10. Share the heritage & traditions with friends & family

elk w/ bow,
marlin from da gulf,
8# speck,
200# yellowfin,
banded mallard,
south american wingshooting safari,
8- 10# bass
100# cobia
and of course Africa
just to name a few in no particular order

spend a few weeks out west on DIY and just hunt different game with bow-elk sheep, pronghorn muleys
i would love to chase all waterfowl the whole way from canada to la but if i got a few hunts along the way in a year it would be great
peacock bass fish
catch a 7.5+ speckled trout
25+ snapper
get a banded something
kill a good buck in canada midwest and texas
hunt in the dakotas
cast in blast in sept

Squaler, number 2 should be a cheap trip unless you learn to pull the trigger more than you did at Muscadine!! :D

kill a deer......period!!
continue the trips to wa. state.
duck hunt a pea field in canada with friends
hunt the platte river
go to argentina
put my dad on one last "good" duck hunt

You're right about that! I was planning on letting you & Ducksbeus follow behind me though to make sure the birds didn't turn back! :lol:
