What do you fish for?
Re: What do you fish for?
Bass and Bream have turned into beer drinking as of the last few years. Saltwater is what I enjoy the most.
Take it easy and if its easy take it home.
Re: What do you fish for?
Mostly bass.. just because its so much more complicated and takes a little more work than hooking up a cricket or a night crawler and watchiin the cork go under.
Also catfish but mostly jugs and trotlines -mainly on the Big Black.
Lord knows I won't pass down a Saltwater trip.

I haven't done much fishing at all the past few years. Gonna change that this year for sure. I like to get after the bass and bream here at home and love to head over to AR and get after the trout with a flyrod!

I am way to ADD to fish with a rod and reel! My favorite fishing is bowfishing either big grass carp or big gator gar! Grinnel fight the hardest pound for pound I think when bowfishing though.

Crappie - I like to wade around in the trees and shallow water (sound familiar). Plus, that big ole thump on the jig pole is just fun. Mighty good eating too.
Bass - still looking for a 10+, this is the year!

Bream- That seems like it was the first fish I ever caught. Love to take a cane pole and some crickets on a breram bed.
White Perch/ Crappie- Always fun
Bass- nothing like catching a big bass
Catfish- on a pole or a jug it is just fun to real one of them in.
And when frying fish I like a variety of of the above to fry.

Re: What do you fish for?
I love to fish for bream and catfish. That is what my father loves to do so I have done it all my life and love it. Nothing like sitting in the boat with my dad eating a moonpie and watching them corks go plunk under the water. I like to fish for crappie to but I am not rigged up for trolling so don't catch as much as I could. I catch a lot of fish on yo yo's, trotlines, and want to try jugs this year.
Never been to keen on bass fishing. I like it ok but I would much rather eat a catfish, bream, or crappie.

I love to bream fish. Its alot of fun to me. Light tackle always.
Favorite is tight line catfishing at night. Nothing like it to me. Always fun to turn on the lights right before you pull that big cat out of the water and see a big moccasin floating on top of the water about 3 feet from you. Gives you a pretty nice adrenalin rush (and dirty undies if your lucky...)

Crappie and bass until May, then it is all saltwater fishing, out in the gulf about every other weekend during the summer...snapper, spanish, king, wahoo, mahi.

Saltwater, but I only get to go about 2-4 times a year. But man-o-man one good day in the gulf beats the hell out of the rest of the year in fresh water. You just never know what is going to show up.

Trout, Redfish, and Cobia. Started out bass fishing when i was little, then fished the marshes as i got older. Ended up getting 2 degrees in marine biology and now I get to play with fish for a living as a marine fisheries biologist

Re: What do you fish for?
For the most part unless the bream are on the beds or sac a lait are really biting freshwater is a waste of my time unless it's in my pond.
I stick to saltwater, my main fishing is trout, redfish, floudner.
However I have made five trips to the lump and various areas this year. I love fishing for cobia when they are in, I also like my grouper and snapper.
I guess I fish for everything!

Re: What do you fish for?
Like flyfishing for trout myself…….out west preferably.
Around here, I like flyfishing for bream and bass but if a gun is held to my head and I’m asked what’s my favorite way to fish in Mississippi, I’d have to say, wading creeks w/ an old zebco and a bunch of beatlespins and H N H’s.
Ain’t NOTHING like it around here.
