You're kidding right???
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Does anyone know the person's name
that actually killed it? I hunt in that general
area and was just curious.

Just knowing the area (Chickasaw county in general) it would not surprise me one bit. There have been a bunch of stories about where he killed it and how he killed it, but none are probably reliable. Did the warden really take the deer? I read in the CL about two weeks ago that he was unwilling to share any info about how (not where) he killed it. I don't know anyone who would kill a deer like this and not share some details of the hunt. I can understand why one would not want to disclose the area he killed it in, but to keep the whole story a secret is kind of shady to me.

This deer kill is legit.....the guy that killed it is a good close friend of mine....he is a very ethical hunter.....after he shot this deer , it was laying there flopping and bellowing and another buck almost as big came out stood over this one...friend said he was very tempted but wanted save that deer for his 8 yr old nephew so, he just watched it til it walked off.

There were so many rumors going around he has gotten disgusted with people and isnt talking....the GW story isn't true either...they came and looked it over and recommended he get it scored and congratulated him on the kill....it was unbelievable all the diffferent stories that went around and some from folks he thought was his friends....oh well...I told him to be proud and not to worry about people.
