Great time, Great friends and fellowship. Glad I was able to provide some comic relief with my nervous stomach,
Thanks to Tony for handling Nash for me in Master, That makes 4 and me and Nash pulled out a pass in Senior for his SH title.
Sure does feel good to put those letters behind his name.
Again thanks to all and especially the Flora crew for putting on one great test as always!!!!!

I'm the "test dog" lady from Bryan-College Station. Let Dave know that we passed. (even with HIS setup as our 3rd series)
Congratulations.....I told him and he said, "That's good, I'm glad she passed.....she has a nice dog there."

LDH, as you know, this senior deal has been dragging around for a couple years. since we ran a few between seasoned/finished to now with double stakes w/ masters. it couldn't have worked out better though. I hope we made you proud. and a big thanks to you and Dave for a great dog and all the help along the way.
Trey, you know we have to give you a hard time.. congrats on handling for that SH, and on nash's 4th master ribbon.
first master passes for jsherwin, tbone and melissam. thats big! and troy with a title on cody! glad he hung around for that breakin bird..

besides this croop stuff I came down with, it was a great weekend. sounds worse today, so I'm avoiding client calls today, in hopes I can actually talk tomorrow.

billy, I just got your message. thanks bud. I'll holler back when I get the ol voice back.

Trey, I was proud to be judging you and your dog this weekend, too. I hope you enjoyed the test. It was a hard one and you have much to be proud of. I like to make my tests memorable.

LDH,
To put a face with the name, I'm the fat red headed guy whose yellow dog broke on Honor Sat. morning. AND when I say Broke on honor, I mean, took off, caught the dog, took the duck from the dog, and brought it to me. I know you remember that.
Wanted to do the ole skuna-slap-a-fowl?
If was nice to meet and see everyone.

It was a fun weedend indeed. I went down to Magnolia with intention of getting Daisee her SH title and to get her and my feet wet and hopefully make a good showing in Master. Didnt really know what I was getting into by double staking a dog in two simultaneous events. I was told by several that I was a brave soul. Maybe it was alot to ask of my little black girl but she got er'dun
She came home with her SH title and her first Master pass all in the same weekend. Im glad to get that SH behind us and time to step up wif the big boys and gals.
By Trey letting me graciously(to put it nicely....bwahahahhah) run Nash in Master was also a plus for me as a handler. It gave me chance to settle down and get my focus on how I wanted to run Daisee. Both dogs made me look good...no handles no CR or WR all weekend. It felt good walking away from the line knowing you didtnt leave anything out there to be judged.
It was kewl to put a few faces with some internet forum names. Not even gonna try and name them all for I know I will leave some out. Congrats to all that passed. I would like to give a shout out to Magnolia Retriever Club for putting on another great hunt test on some fine grounds. And thanks to judges for donating thier time and for setting up some challenging test...all hell xxx' and oooo's for everyone!!!!
I got a kick out of Steve(duckchaser) Sunday morning in the 3rd series. I was watching from the holdind blind right behind the judges so I dont think anyone else saw. Steve and Rusty get to line and Steve signals the judges to start the test...nothing happens....so Steve sigals again... the judge says "you may want to blow your duckcall to start your hunt".....Steve replies..."oh yea that might help"....sorry Steve couldnt help but share wif the rest of the world.....
p.s. kaustin....you better step up brohammy!!!

This must be get on Steve while he's sick day.... hahaha
that little waiting for something to happen reminds me of the time Dave was running as seasoned test. We had been at finished most of the morning and finally made it over to Seasoned for him to run Dancer. I think he got to watch one dog run and went to get his dog. it was a land series and Dave walked over to the gun stand picked up the gun, loaded it with two shells and after "sitting" Dancer next to the bucket, he got comfortable himself.
We all sat and watched as he just sat there scanning the field looking for birds to fly. Dancer watched quietly also...kinda like when they go hunting. It seemed like forever. judges started to fidget and I couldn't help myself I said rather loudly...."somebody needs to tell Dave to shoot the blind first."
Dear, sweet, Dave jumped up and shot the gun like a teal had suddenly surprise him and the judge were nearly falling out of their chairs laughing as were the rest of gallery. Dancer ran a nice blind and they managed to finish the rest of the weekend without incident. That was 9 years ago and We love to remember it.

preciate you sharing that tbone..
I was obviously asleep at the wheel most of the weekend.
and how about my diversion on the retired memory bird? as our luck would have it, a giant white egret w/ a 6' wingspan glided into the far bank about 30 yards off line, while rusty was enroute to that mark. soon as it landed, he heads in that direction for a little piece, but corrected his line to exit and drive up the hill past it for the duck, without a handle. it was all good..

Oh yes, lilham, I remember you and know who you are now. However, I never really saw anything about you getting the duck from the dog. I was so intent on keeping them from tangling. Just very glad it all ended peacefully.
