Well, Ole Miss did win this one. State has been sucking it up for the last two years now. I'm hoping that maybe we'll get some new staff next year!!! We're long overdue for a new offensive coordinator! I got very ill to say the least watching State running up the middle first and second down, then pass third and long. We started off doing good, but couldn't execute inside the red zone. You Rebels got lucky on the bowl situation this year. A 6-6 season is typically not bowl material, but it sure beats our 3-9 season! I wish we could've managed to do something productive this year, but it seems we didn't. Hopefully the productive stuff will start now.....with a new coaching staff!!!!!!!

Who is everyone pulling for in the SEC Championship????
I wouldn't mind seeing GA do it. That would help their rank out a little more probably. I like seeing another SEC school in the top 5!

Heck, I wish they would get a new coaching staff in Oxford, too. Cutcliffe needs an offensive coordinator like a crackhead needs a hit. They tossed too many close games this year by doing stupid stuff.

Where have I been??? HE HE HE HE HE

I've been busting my booty since last Tuesday trying to kill a duck, managed to kill only 2 so far, woodie drake yesterday evening and gad drake this morning.

As far as the game goes, State won every aspect of the game except the scoreboard. State screwed up way too many times in Ole Miss territory. Joe Lee hurt us twice on defensive calls, leading to 2 ole miss td's. I didn't watch the game but did hear that the refs did suck at times.

But, ole piss won, congrats.

Hope you boys at the country club college recruit some receivers for next year...Eli would be dangerous if he had anybody to throw to! Sorry as we are this year, it was close up to the end when we had to do really stupid stuff, or rather more stupid stuff than we usually do. That ought to tell y'all something! So, whats's the word, GH22? Is Jackie going to be with us next year? I heard him on the post game show when a caller asked him point blank if he was coming back and he danced all around it but never answered the question. What's the scuttlebutt? I've lit candles, called in a witch doctor, done a "go away" dance, had my Catholic friends say several "Hail, Mary's" for us, crossed my fingers and toes, and I'd even say "Please" and "Thank you" if he would just go away!

.... man, I hope none of the kids that play for State or Ole Miss ever visit this forum.... even their coaches. I am sure it is not a part of their lifelong dream to work their ass off, since they were kids, all year long, so they can be a part of an unsuccessful program and be called loosers...

And I am sure the professional coaches would rather be at a winning institution, than to spend hours and hours watching film, studying trends and trying in vain to recruit talent for a program that is struggling. And what balls these guys must have to go to a program that has not been successful, to try to turn it around... What guts Jackie Sherrill must have. (just have to wonder what he did with those bull testicles ???)

And yeah, I thought David Cutcliffe could be a bonehead.... until I got to talk with him, and learn what he was trying to accomplish. It is interesting how your perspective changes when you know some of these guys personally in the programs....
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

The only reason Ole Miss is going to a bowl is becasue Alabama and Kentucky can't!

Razorbacks-
Good luck in ATL. Be sure to send your Christmas cards to Logan Young, Mike Dubose and Ronnie Cotrell.

The better team won??? HA

The better team on the field lost and you know it.

I'm going to watch the game tonight to see for sure, but when i look at the stats and see one team had 460 yds of offense, and the other had around 275, not hard to see who was the better team, ole miss just made the best of the few opportunities they had to do to what it took to score.

Sherrill isn't going anywhere. I think he has 3 more yrs on his contract at over $200K/year. I think his buyout clause it close to $1M. From what I'm hearing the off cord and wr coach will be fired.

You are a moron. good teams find ways to win. good teams capatalize on big plays and turnovers. Ole Miss isn't a great team, but they are better than State. State sucks and you know it. 0-8 in the SEC, gimme a break. Hell, State has won only 2 SEC games in the past 2 years UK and Ole Miss last year. GH22, you have shown the great MSU logic once again!!

I would like for you to call me a moron to my face!!!

How about that???

State should've won several sec games, including tenn and um, if the coaches had used their intelligence instead of their stupidity.

And you're right, Ole Miss isn't a great team, heck they aren't a good or decent team. It took five consecutive losses before ole miss finally got over the fluke win over florida.

getting a little mad are we GH22?? did the Rebs get the best of ya? State's whole football program is a fluke. You are now back in the cellar were you belong, don't come out again or you will be disciplined accordingly!! State should not have won several SEC games, for god sakes the almost lost to Troy again!! WTF? State is terrible!! Welcome back Vandy of the West!!!

I've heard all kinds of stuff about Jackie. I've heard he sold his condo at Old Waverly, I've heard that he's building a house in Texas, I've herad that the Bryan brothers were buying his contract out. I don't know what's going on. I think most of what I've heard is pure speculation. I've heard that all of the assistants are gone after this year and Jackie is staying. That seems to be the going rumor here in Starkville. Of course, everyone on here knows how rumors circulate in small towns in Mississippi!

I heard Jackie on the radio show the other night dodge the bullet on that question after the game. He seemed to dodge most of the questions asked! I wish he'd give straighter answers!!!! I also heard someone call in on Valvoline Southern Sports tonight from Madison saying they heard from a very reliable source that Jackie was gone. Who knows! We'll have to wait and see! Keep doing your go away dances and Hail Mary's!!!!! hahahaa

i hope jackie does go by-by......and furthermore, i hope state picks up cutcliffe from ole miss. wouldn't hurt my feelings any if eli transferr'd as well. it would suit me just fine if ole miss could pick up Grenada's High School quarterback and Lafayette's High School running back. At least these two guys are playing like they care about the outcome of the game. Grenada and Lafayette play'd a week ago for which would go to the North-Half playoffs, and either one of these two teams play'd with more heart than ole miss or ms state. i'm sooo frickin sick of hearing about how the rebels got slaughter'd, but hey, not to worry 'cuz eli broke another "archie" or "romero" record. UM is losing a lot of seniors this year, and the way our recruiting sucks, we probably won't see much more from the rebels next year.

The following five coaches are now available for Cutcliffe:

Def Coordinator Joe Lee Dunn
Off Coordinator Sparky Woods
WR coach Craig Stump
Defensive Line coach John Hendrick
Offensive Line coach Carroll McCray

Looks like Jackie is staying. I disagree with the JLD firing, should've gotten rid of Curly Hallman. I guess Ole Miss will go for JLD since they don't have a D.
