With all due respect, the names are very creative. So creative, in fact, that even the creators can't pronounce some of them. Do you call that, creative confusion?

Think about it...white people are still using the same old names that have been around for 2,000 years.

John (James, Jimmy, Johnny and Jimbo)
Robert (Rob, Bob and Robbie)
William (Bill, Billy and Bubba)
Beyond that, we pretty much have no outside influence.

Where is the creativity in that?

I think I'll name my next one Olaf or Bjorn.

I have two customers who's children are named LaMonday and LaTuesday. No joke

I know a farm worker who's given name is James, but they call him 'Early' for some reason. I don't know if he was always prompt to show-up for work, or whether he was born a little pre-mature.

I know of several cases where folks have give their daughters names like:

Sonny
Chad
Charlie
Glen
Freeman
Ricki
Bobbie
Bailey

So, I imagine other ethnic groups wonder, "Whassup wid DAT?"

I swear this is a true story.
My wife used to be a nurse & worked at the health department. One day a momma brought her youngin in. She signed the kids name on the list & spelled it Tpriscilla Jones. A short while later one of the nurses call for "T-priscilla Jones" (emphasis on the T). No one came. Again a call for Tpriscilla Jones. Again no one came. Third & final call for Tpriscilla Jones. Finally the 300 pound obviously well fed food stamp momma gets up & sachets to the the desk & informs the nurse "her name bez Priscilla that's a silent T on the front".
The nurse responded "Well, Lawd that sure is a fancy name"!

Had someone apply for a job a couple years ago, who's name was spelled Diarrhea. She pronounced in Dy air ea. I didn't have the heart to explain it to her, but I badly wanted to.

There were a few brothers i went to school with name one, two, and three. I think they put a La in front of it on paper.

The sad thing is that it's not only limited to Delta schools... that's roll call in public school statewide.

I knew a set of twins in Jeff Davis county name Lemonjello and Orangejello.... pronounced Lemon-jello, etc...

My momma called me Todd. When I was in trouble, it was proceeded by Robert!

The world knows me as deadeye....

Weirdest name I ever saw was a democrat that worked in Walgreens, her name was.....Tacobela

Sad part is can you imangine growing up and having you parents naming you something as stupid as that??????


We have some living across the street, great family, mothers an account and the father has his doctorate in gene therapy????? They have two children a boy and a girl the boy is named David after his father and the girls name is Da-vida after her father????

U have got to be sheetn me. I thought TN was bad but this just takes the cake. I have one, I go to this triple stop some mornings or whatever and this lil black gurl in there was pregnant and she was talkn and askn me to get her babies daddy on where I work anyway she then told me that she was naming her lil cub Zermany, said she watched a show on cars and Zermany had nice cars there, figured her boy would be like them. I was surprised she knew about Zermany, I then asked here if she was talking about Germany said she has never heard of it. .

How old is your wife........cause I been hearing about those twins since I was 8.........

It is a damn shame that people do not have a clue, than to brand a child with a name that most people can not even pronounce..

Interesting topic.....I also went to school with two "sisters" in S. Louisiana. They were identical twins. There parents named them "Wonderful" and "Wonderlyn". Seriously, there wasn't nothing "wonderful" about them!!
