Mine came from my keen ability to flare ducks instead of keeping my head down. Or it came from my ability to see a duck four counties away but still can't hear for s***.

YouthFootballCoach, RoboDuckSniper and HowlingAtTheMoon were already taken... Was a toss-up between StockBroker and JoeStudley(yeah, right).
LardButt was a little too personal... went with what I do most of the day.

I got my first black lab puppy 3years ago and trained her myself.
Just like the school courses Math 101, Science 101, etc.... Only thing
is though, I think she's taught me more than I've taught her.
So Blacklab 101 it was.

It's the duck call that I bought in 1978 from the old York Arms Company in Memphis, and the only call that I use. A guy named Howard Amaden (now deceased), from Lonoke, Arkansas used to make Hambones and sold them in lots of six, packaged in old cigar boxes. If you have the book Duck Calls by Howard Harlan, there is a section on Hambones, with several photos. Hard to believe I have been using this call for a quarter-century, hundreds of hunts and countless thousands of ducks!

Well mine are my initials of my first and last name..pretty easy to figure out.... but the initials kinda stuck when our local dopeheads in the county who I chase day in and day out started calling me "RB" (pronounced: ar-rah-bee) and it seemed to spread like wildfire... so now everybody knows me as "RB".

I've been flying airplanes from spam cans to ag planes to experimentals and aerobatic for 26 years and picked up the name somewhere along the way.

Now Stockingfoot, tell us how you got your name!
