Was this an issue with older models? I bought my SBE II in January '06 and have shot everything from #8 2 3/4 low brass for dove's to #2 3 1/2 for ducks and have not had a problem.

My SBE II has only jammed 3 times. We put close to 500 rounds through it in a little under an hour and it got sticky.. A little oil goes a long way. Other than that no issues.. THe gun actually brought my score at the willows up a couple clays on average.

SBEII's come from the factory with the sure cycle syste. All the new Benellis have them.
