Thanks Greenhead, I don't want to carry since this is his first dove hunt. With a new gun and all I think I need my attention on him. Count us in then and we look forward to it. If you don't mind forward a map to me coming down from Hernando...

I just sent you a PM. Every map site I used on the net gave the long way around driving directions.

I think it would be best to try and meet up friday at the show if it's possible. Maybe ride down to both fields friday evening so you all will know where to come instead of waiting til early saturday morning and accidently missing a turnoff or something.

GREENHEAD22,
I have a Bois D'Arc RNT Short Barrel. I really like it, but it doesn't seem like it likes to get up as much as the Original RNT. I've messed around with different reeds and all, but I think I've got it where I like it now. You say that Vortex has a little more range? I guess it's a single reed isn't it? Have they got any down here in Starkvegas???

Dan,

RNT made that call to work when no other call will. It's a low volume call, even the john stephen's version isn't much louder, even with the adjustment to the tone board. If I try to highball on my call, it will lock up on me, exactly the way i wanted it to be tuned. The wally world had about 10 left the other day, they are a double reed, and are a whole lot louder than the SB. The next call i will be getting will either be a gaston timber or the burnt bois'd arc rnt sb.

I have the burnt Bois D'arc Short Barrel. If you want to give her a try before you buy one, just let me know........she's a little louder than my buddy's acrylic SB.

greenhead22,
Thanks for that sound file! Makes me want to go hunt some timber! Let me know if you get that new SB. I'd like to hear it when you do.

Good luck to you guys going hunting in Greenwood. I'll be thinking about you when I'm at the game Saturday! Shoot a limit or two for me!!!
