I shoot the high velocity 1550 FPS Winchester in 3" number 3. Seems to be a good mix of number of pellets, size of shot and speed. The speed will make up some of the difference for a smaller shot size.

bbs in the wind, 2's when it aint. 3 inch xspurts at 1550. 8 bucks a box is hard to beat. cheap, hit hard, and dont kick or hang up like dem 3.5 shells do.

My brother ran outta shells with like 2 weekends left one year. SO he bought all the bullets they had left. bbb's federal premiums.. he figgered too big was better than 2 small. He shoots a patternmaster all the time, its rusted in the barrel and he cant hit a duck under 25 yards anyway. he was flat out murder with dem bbb's and patternmaster. You'd shoot to the plug, put your gun down, lite a smoke, and send the dog, and he'd still be shooting and killing ducks! bwhahahaha, it was funnier than crap.

I like it when big shot like bbb's and ts rust. Sounds like an old a5 auto when the rusty shot hits the chokes! We ran outta bullets one weekend, and had a bunch of rusted bbb's from early goose in the boat. Shot musta been clumping, cause the chokes where screaming and if you hit a duck it died like scarface in the last scene of the movie!

My dog likes it when guests bring 3's and 4's to the pit. Lots of cripples to chase down. lil pellets aint got no business in a rice field. travis

So I would have to consider myself pretty good when killing ducks at 60-70 yds with #3's ?

Well, that must be it because I do it all the time, but I never do it unless I have a witness or two to back me up.

I have been shooting a Pattern Master with 3" Kent 1 3/8 BB's for 3 years and this is a deadly combination with long range killing consistancy. Would not change for anything.

absolutely...reminds me of the guys that hunted with us last weekend...they'd unload their guns (all three of them) at a greenhead then I'd shoot and one of 'em would holler "I GOT THAT ONE" I loved it...they had a BLAST 8) ....

Well I'm not sure if anyone thinks that the Primos Dead zone chokes are any good but I tried them out this year with Kent #2's and 3's and its deadly. I haven't need anything to reach out there and touch like BB's do. I will next year though. Great info guys.
