Probably his mistress.
I thought they collared that bear.
I don't see a collar, but i could be wrong.
Good call Sam.....

Well... I'm sorry Mr. Freakin' Bear Collar Expert. Why don't you leave me alone and go practice the "chopper" in front of the mirror for a little while.

Good pics of the bear... You know I would hate to come face to face with one of those on the way to the deer/duck stand while dark..

mshunter77 - I have a place on SB. Shoot me a PM with the name of your cousin's camp if you don't mind. I always knew tha they were in there. Very cool. Now if I can just keep the gators from eating my river otters we'll have a well rounded representation of the seldom seen!

Saw a bear while freezing my butt off in a deerstand up here in Virginia on Saturday morning. Very cool. There's actually a season on 'em up here, but I didn't think he'd make a big enough rug to justify shooting the only bear I've seen in the woods.

We took some pictures of some bear tracks on the north end of King's Point Island.. This could be the bear that left those bear tracks!!!

mshunter77, more than likely that is the female from Arkansas cub. She now has a MS collar. She was darted in her den tree last year and her collar was changed. Her cub never got a collar on him. We got both of them on trail cam this summer along with the possibility of an mature male (that was never fully determined I believe). Its good to see he is still roaming. One of our guys had one of them cross a lane while they were deer hunting about three weekends ago. Hopefully they will stick around and become plentiful.
