I would suggest haveing the gun cleaned by a gun smith. I agree with MSduckman on value, but a good gun smith will clean that gun up without harming the orignal finish. I will suggest my gunsmith. He is very good with older guns. Ed Sanders Gun Shop in West Point 662-494-6218. He only works on older guns and is a true gunsmith. In other words he can make his own parts. Would not cost much at all probally 200 bucks max.

A gun of this nature does not need to be refinished at all. If you do the value will drop a great deal. Once they have been refinished collectors not longer want them.
I think you mis-read my post. I said refurbished not refinished.

According to my Gun Trader's Guide, when I look under 1982, it refers me back to the Model 92 section. Now the model 92 section lists the following prices:
NiB: $1874
Ex: $1307
Gd: $689
Seems the Model 92 came in two calibers: .22 and .32
Made from 1892-1916
I wouldn't let any type of chemical touch that rifle.

The lady who had the gun I was asking about told me she sold it yesterday for $1750 to a gun dealer.... Seems a little high to me... He must have wanted it bad!!
