It's crazy that you mention this.....Oh hell I am out here in the Texas Hill Country!
Just this a.m. I saw no fewer than 200 whitewings/mourning dove cross over the road while I was at a stop light!! Approx. 10 flocks flew in what must be a flyway to the crops of millet, milo, corn etc. I am set for dove season..... [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Here in the Dundee Delta I have noticed considerably more doves than I usually see this time of year. I have a 22 acre wheat field that we cut about 15 acres of and left the rest for dove hunting and I jump 100+ doves in the cut part every time we go down there. Also see 30-40 on the power lines at the adjacent sunflower/milo field. Went last week end and worked up a 10 acre duck hole real good to plant the next day and when I came back to plant it probably 50-60 doves sctatching in the dust there. (too dry for dirt just dust here [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] )
