We need to get together this year and have another hunt in Schlater were we shot all of those mallards and that band. Check is on the way. Dont be a stranger.

Total cost for the server will be around $1,500. That's for a used Dell Poweredge 4200 w/ Windows 2000 Server.

It's not the latest in technology, but it will make an excellent web server. It has dual Pentium II processors, 256MB RAM, 3 4.3GB Hard Drives, redundant power supply, and plenty of room for expansion.

Owning a server is very cost effective when compared to the cost of leasing/co-locating. A dedicated server with Windows 2000 runs about $300-$450 per month.

The current machine running the site is a pieced together Celeron 300. It hasn't proved to be the most reliable machine. It's been down about 5 times in the past 3 months.

So far we've received $75 in contributions towards the new server. I'd like to say thanks to the following members:

As noted, this site has been of useful information to many of us. I have saved money from information recieved and made money from the classifieds. I spent more money advertising in the paper for the pups I sold and had less return than for the ONE post I placed here.

I finally sent my check to you this morning...I know this is a voluntary process but I was wondering one thing....Since no angel tries to use the system as a FREE service to him and not abide by your rules, I have not seen his name on the check received page....I figured someone who received FREE advertising would be happy to send in some money to help purchase a new server....
