Hand thrown by the handler bumpers are boring. Are you having someone else throw for you?

Hand thrown bumpers are least exciting.
Bird boy thrown bumpers are more exciting
Bird boy thrown with pistol shot even more exciting.
Bird boy thrown with shot gun even more
Having to watch another dog pick it up even more exciting
Bird boy thrown dead duck even more exciting than that.
Shot flyer the most eciting of all.

Kennel the dog before training.
Don't do too many marks in a given session. Put him up wanting more.
Try to train around other people and dogs.
Use an assistant to throw for you.
