The Nick Turner deal set the tone for Croom's first impression on the football program. Not many new coaches would step into a new job and the first thing he would do would be to kick off the best player. Turner's boot had nothing to do with the counterfeit stuff.......refused to go to class and team meetings.

At that time Turner was the better player, reason he was starting over Norwood.

the real reason nick was getting to play was because he was slippin our offensive cord. some of those funny $100.00 bills...
for real when nick got in the huddle he was so dum that when they called a play for him to carry the ball they'd just point in the direction they wanted nick to run, forget about a snap count they just went on movement..
what round did nick get draftedn in??

"As of right now, Brent Schaeffer could get away with murder when he steps foot on UM's campus cause Zero can't afford to suspend him or penalize him for ANYTHING !!! "
If true, I have a few UM folks on a "hit list" I would like for Brent to take care of during his two year stay at UM.
Seriously, I don't think we are going to have any trouble from Brent Shaeffer. He seems to have matured quite a bit from his early turbulent days at UT. And surely, such past trouble has already been discussed with Coach O and the staff, and he knows Coach O will not tolerate a bunch of crap, even if he is a potential "star". I think he will be focused on proving a lot of his naysayers wrong. With as much catching up as he will have to do, especially at the QB position, I doubt he will have much time to find any trouble.
Whether he can produce on the field remains to be seen, and I am keeping a wait and see approach before proclaiming him the next Manning type QB. But, I think he will behave himself while at UM.

Po MOnk....I agree with everything you just said...
but I hope you got your waders on cause the $#!+ is about to get deep with Coach "ZERO" HAHAHA jokes and all that in reference to you talking about his discipline, you know it's so easy and OH SO funny to pick on Coach O cause he once got in a fight and arrested and b/c he is loud and fiery... and did I mention those jokes are oh so new, fresh, and oh so hillarious

Hell, when you have had seasons like we have had over the past 4 years, it might not hurt to rethink kicking off just about the only freshman talent that we have. Truth be told, we need all the help we can get.
