as far as oswalt is concerned there is a huge difference between throwing 97 and 88, plus oswalt had control problems at holmes because he had never been taught any mechanics he just threw the ball. Clevland has been playing at a "baseball meca" for 5 years and still cannot pitch. Pigot, Crosswhite, and Weatherford are our only reliable pitchers out of the bullpen

exactly we have 3 freshman that can pitch but yet we dont see thim enough. Lea has tendonitous(sp?) so he is out for at least 2 weeks according to Polk

well lea and crosby have done a decent job during mid week games, and i know that the competition is not the same. I know that they can't start the weekend games also, but a short reliever would be an option, i mean they are going to throw 50-60 pitches in a bullpen on the weekend so why not let them throw in the game

Last time I saw Crosby during a weekend series at the Dude was when he walked outta porter potty. Didn't even dress out cause he had pitched the mid week game.

Yeah but he and Lea has been on the 25 man roster hear lately I guess thats a sign of good things to come

Crosby is still in the dawghouse with McNickle and will only pitch if out of necessity.

Yeah he went to the pen durring one of the Sat. games but we got outof the inning and he never came in

After Dunn got bombed last night, Weatherford will draw the start friday night at USC. Saturday and sunday starters will be chosen after the rotation of pitchers tonight.
