As an LSU fan, I think Thomas is doing the right thing. He should take the money while it is in front of him. He grew up rough and as a result has a pretty mature outlook on things. I just hope that he has someone around him that will force him to put his signing bonus away and not touch it for 20 or so years. I doubt anyone on this board, given the chance as a 20 year old would turn down $30 million. Most, myself included, would probably make an booty out of themselves with the money, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Completely agree. I hate to see him leave for LSU's sake, but you just can't pass up that oportunity. Sure I think another few years in the NCAA would help his game tremendously, i.e. getting a little better at offense and developing a better jump shot. However as pointed out above, just way too much to pass up. I say good luck to him, he has handled himself well his whole time at LSU although it breif.

There is no question his stock is very high after his tourney performance. And as far as the scoring. Jordan only averaged 17 in college. Scoring is not Thomas priamry role. He is a devastating defender. I hope he does well. If Monta Ellis can make it in the league Thomas can. Depends a lot on who gets him.

I remember a young Jordan and his #1 tar heels getting beat by Ark once.
