Depends on what it looks like. Don't want to abuse my gun anymore than I need to.

Used to, almost never. Seriously, I would clean my BGH twice a season. But after it spent 10 hours in saltwater during Hurricane Katrina, I feel like I owe the sumbeatch a spa treatment every time it kills me a limit (and 'cause MSDuckmen told me to clean the snot out of it if I did not want it to rust up after that saltbath).

If it is not real cold just dip it in the drink and pump it a few times. Then at the end of the year give it a cleaning.

Ever heard the exspression "fine tuned machine"? Every fine tuned machine is some sort of metal which creates friction, oil reduces friction on working parts, therefore I clean and oil mine as often as necessary depending on hunting conditions of course and no I'm not a Castrol rep..

My matt finish synthetic A5 ends up getting wet on almost every hunt. Working the dog and handling the ducks causes this (along with dry cracking hands). I spray it down with Rem Oil after most hunts and clean it at years end. I also have a Browning Gold that my brother uses when he comes to town and I clean it after every other hunt or so or every time it gets wet.

Just at the beginning of the season. I knock the dried mud off of it before every hunt though.
