OK, how bout all you boys who grew up when rock-n-roll was the real deal. You came home from school and watched American Bandstand every afternoon. Then came Hullaballo and Where the Action Is. Didn't take me long to find out girls like boys who can dance!

jiffy pop...popcorn...
pan with wire handle...aluminum expanding cover...remember.....

49 was two lane...went thru all the towns,
I-20 was hwy 80 two lane...big black bridge,
yazoo river ferry, washington st vicksburg,
beachwood resturant....(dad are we almost there yet)
deer stands...
all dear stands were just a place where a 1x6 board was painted red with a number on it and nailed to a tree.....(would never let your dad know that you were lost...or scared of the noises before daylight)
off road vehicles...a horse..or
were m/f 35 tractors with a wooden trailer that all the stuff was piled in...and the kids on top.. or tin plate body on an ole
army jeep...(stuffed in the back of the jeep would try not to cry when your head hit the roof over and over).
heaters...
pot belley stove....and who would outlast the others to get up and re-fill the fire...
(try not to shiver or chatter your teeth in the cold bed under quilts, blankets,)
guns...
the same gun did everything...double barrell with one slug-one buckshot...a few browning automatics...5-shot...if any rifle found would be a lever action 30-30...
no remington 30-06 till later...
(9mm shotgun...thats right..still have it, would never admit that my gun could not kill a deer)
very..very few duck hunters...was a sideline, or just a way to get some meat if the deer were few...
boots
all rubber boots were black...with red stripe...leather was warm..but would leak..
(no dad my feet are not cold, i am a big boy now)
food..
coke bottles were 6 oz..and had cities on the botton....(yes they would bet)...canned meat would have a "key" on the bottom to open, everyone cooked their special "stew".,
whiskey was only sold by boot-leggers, rankin county by the river, vicksburg, piney woods,ect..old charter was only sold in 8 year old...ole crow, k/t..
