I think Croom is a very good stand up man, I think nothing of his race...but I ain't Jesse Jackson and no matter who cares what he says...the country listens to the moron and he will impose his "doctrine" on Croom whether is waranted or wanted if he is fired...

yes they only scored 3 points but, they only threw 3 passes in the second half once they had the 17-0 lead mike shula did the classy thing and just ran out the clock, they really didn't try to score

Bama can't score...it's well known at this point...I hope with all my heart and soul that Bama beats LSU and Auburn and finishes undefeated, BUT they can't score very many points, to argue that is stupid...

BUT they are undefeated and I guess if ignorance is bliss then it's foolish to be intelligent...

yes i agree that they can not score many points, but look at teams in the past that could not score, what about the ohio state team that could not score and beat miami for the national title, or the 1992 alabama team that could not score but beat miami for the national title, i don't think that alabam will run the table but they will one the two games left and i think that will be the auburn game, they have the potential to put up some points if the line would pass block a little better, but with the loss of their best lineman during the state game that is not going to get any better, but they are still a good team just not a top 5 team, and they are having a good year, i projected them to go 9-2 so they are going to do at least that

webbmaster, i'm a bama fan and was watching bryant coach teams in tuscaloosa while most on here were pooping green. i do agree defense wins championships, but what happens if bama fumbles the kickoff and it gets returned for a t.d. or norwood doesn't drop the ball on the 5 yard line. i know it didn't happen like that but i'm sure joe kines would like to see one or two t.d.s put up by the offense just in case the deffense doesn't score. shula's playcalling or lack thereof cost him his job in tampa bay and know it's here. wish he would hire rush probst from hoover and let him take over the offense and shula just head coach. roll tide!!

to reply to what this was started for i agree with camlock, if croom is fired there will definetly be racisit arguments brought into it, that is just the way it is, just like the way people build up shula getting hired over croom, MSU was basically forced into hiring croom by the NCAA, MSU was under investigation and when the head coaching job came open the NCAA sent a list of 10 black people and told state to hire one and it would let them off easy, and croom was the only one that they where willing to hire, they really wanted jimbo fisher, but yes if he gets fired there will be issues with color

Well I don't know bout any of that other than State is stuck with a black coach and they gonna pay for it if they have to get rid of him, but I have a very close friend that lives next door to Jimbo Fisher and he told me that Jimbo wasn't going to State anyhow back when all this was going on...so....who knows?

I'd call it more of a slump.

Don't be suprised to see some points scored this weekend.

I'm not saying we could win out if things stayed the same, but we have played against some good defenses.

I hope your defense holds LSU to ZERO points and your offense sets an NCAA record for most points scored in a 4 quarter football game...

well i think it will be a good game no matter what, but now brodie is personally blaiming himself for the lack of scoring points and he had a bad game agianst an underrated defense, so i look for him to come oout and have a big game if the line can get him some time, and i also think the rest of the team is going to looking to prove a point after miami jumped them and everyone says that they are not really very good, so it should be a good game

I heard the same thing, I heard he actually told them he didn't want the job which is why they went the route they did.

I'm gonna call BS on using Shula and "class" in the same sentence

Class would have been taking the starting qb out in the middle of the third qtr. The game was over at that point.

Actually it was interesting to sit and watch and think about a broken leg or a blown out knee when your team was in NO DANGER of losing control of the game. What will it take for this coach to learn...?

You know nothing about football. Those kids come to school to play football. The offense wasn't clicking and they needed to work things out.

Thanks for playing.

BTW, I could have sworn I saw late hits and cheap shots by the M$U players. Did you also see our center break his leg? It happened when our QB was getting facemasked to the ground! I see the same group of thugs there I did when Sherril was there.

Talk about class...

Your beloved coach is bitter he got passed up for the job. His recent comments along with comments after Shulas hiring only prove that. Deal with it.

the personal foul on the Bama sideline was BS. And if you've actually ever played football before, when you're makin a tackle you grab whatever you can get a hold of. If a 250 lineman is falling when he grabs it, chances are that hand ain't just gonna slip off bud.
Too bad about your center, Forrest Gump says $#!+ Happens.
