Three modes of mass communication:
1. Telephone
2. Television
3. Tell-a-woman (beats the other 2 every time)

Got a call today that said a friend was told that the state dept was going to put a freez on gas till after the hurican to stop this $#!+. Well no freez but i travel alot and I figure gas will go due to this. There were no lines so I filled up both trucks and got an extra thirty. I would use that in two days anyway.

When we were down there on the 3rd, some guy pulled a rifle on another fellow in a gas line at Gulfport.

Man, people are going nuts over gas.

Two weeks ago I tried to buy a gas can at the Home Depot near County Line Road in Jackson to carry some more gas back home. They were out of 5 gallon cans. So I asked if they had any smaller ones. The igmo working there looked at me like I was an idiot and says "No dude. Ain't you heard that there was a hurricane." I almost shot HIM.
well you got to look at it from this point of view. Your driving down the highway and at every gas station you see lines and nothing on the radio about dont worry there is plenty of gas. What are you going to do, get in the shortest line,
Exactly!

Naaaa...the SHEEP are those spreading the rumors, not folks preparing for a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The sheep are the DA’s who waited too late to leave Houston; running out of fuel on the highway because they did not prepare, becoming a liability for the government to take care of by requiring fuel trucks for their pitiful unprepared selves.

Winning a bad bet does not make one smart. Somebody won betting the Field at the craps table today “somewhere.” Winning the dumb bet did not make he/she smart however, just lucky in spite of him or herself. Those running up and down the road “looking for dove fields” and “driving their SUV’s to Starkville” a few weeks ago are the same poor souls who will be begging for a few gallons of gas from those who prepared and stayed put when there is a real gas shortage. Of course that day probably won’t ever come will it?
