I would say he's pretty delusional.
If you have any more insightful posts, I suggest starting a new thread.
This one was specifically started to strike up an interesting discussion of Southern Miss football and why they will or will not play the other 2 MS schools....not to mention the fact they are obviously the best team in the state.
Posting a meaningless comment from an Alabama message board is nothing more than garbage.

Please....
Southern can't even win in CUSA enough to even think about declaring parity with an SEC program. They love to be loud and proud about all the "big name" programs they're not afraid to play. Newsflash, USM never wins ANY of those games and often plays these big boys, perhaps coincidentally, while they are struggling a bit. How good has Nebraska been lately? Penn State? I'll give 'em the Cal game.
Meanwhile, Ole Miss and State continue to play the brutal schedule of an SEC football team. How many teams is USM playing this season that will have a top 25 pre-season ranking? Their two toughest games will be Bama and NC State. Ole Miss must play Tennessee, Bama, Auburn, LSU, and I'll even throw in Arkansas to make Big Gumbo wherever he is, happy. This is considered an easy SEC schedule. State's is worse. Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Bama, and Arkansas. Year in and year out. Southern fans need to sit down and shut up about ANY SEC team. Until they nut up and play at least four or five ranked teams a year, all that anyone, anytime BS is a waste of oxygen.
Let's also not forget that USM is currently not an accredited institution of higher learning. For any respect to be sent down to Hattiesburg, some serious changes need to be made.

"By the way, why won't Ole Miss play Southern Miss?"
The same reason Bama won't play UAB. You guys put UAB on your schedule on a home and home, and then we'll talk. Even better, play USM on a home and home , and then we'll talk. USM won't play us in Oxford every year, or we would still be playing them. We need that extra home game to financially help the program. ----- These are the same reasons MSU does not play USM any more. Why financially prop up a competing program in your own state?
Arkansas does not and will never play Arkansas State. LSU will not play Tulane. Bama and Auburn will not play UAB. UT rarely plays Memphis. Florida doesn't play Central Florida, etc. Why??
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and Good Sense.
You should stick to jilted coach lawsuit cheerleading, and leave the scheduling to those who know what they are doing.

UAB football can't support themselves. They probably wont be around in 3 years.
USM can support themselves.
Besides, we are Alabama...you're just Ole Miss. You're on TV like 4 times a year.
Thats funny, you are demanding AL play USM on a home and home, but yet you won't even play them.
Just admit that your team is not as good as USM and move on to something else.

And your right, bama fans are delusional.
Actually, my post regarding USM is very legit judging by the number of responses.
But, if you are trying to justify Alabama fans as being delusional by quoting wackos on internet message boards, so be it. Its your time- do what you please.
Cheers!
