A duck killed that wasn't called in, is a duck not worth killin.
So what your saying is....you don't shoot the ones that slip in on you when you got granola bar in your mouth??

wingman..
you asked a question earlier about the flaggin issue.. what is the response gonna be...
i can see where this would be an area of contention.. i mean the purpose of the flaggin is to emulate the wings flappin on a goose..
so far ark is the only state that has done away with the flappers, what has their response been with regards to the flaggin of geese..
they'll be splittin hairs on this one!!!!

Is the proposed ban a "spinner" ban which would eliminate all robo duck, wind duck, etc. type decoys? Or is it a total "wing decoy" ban? A total ban of all decoys with moveable, flappable parts would possibly include the Higdon flapper (where you pull a jerk string to move the wings) and t-flags and such for goose hunting.
Would it also eliminate kites, "close line" flags and those other decoys you fold open and put on a pole?
I'd be interested to know. If I get up there Friday and hear anything of interest, I'll report back.

I like the left side of the blind

When I see a duck the first thing I grab is a call not a gun.
I don't even reach for it on gardwells, woodrows, teal, widgeon, or hens.
For crying out loud, I'm an "Arkie Swamp Boy" if aint got a greenhead it aint a duck.
When I'm eating my moon pie or drinking my coca cola and a duck sits down there is always someone usually a youngster there who will take a shot.
Ban all spinners and don't cut my jerk rope with your prop you greenhorn pally.

Eastwoods shoulda said:
When I see a mallard drake....
Obviously, the rest in the list are not ducks....
I like you boys' philosophy that you won't shoot it unless you "call" it in.
That's really sweet, but I will shoot them when called in, telegrammed in, directed in by light signal or any other act of Divine Intervention.

Well I am a exception and I know it...I'll shoot at it if its over the dekes and I can see his eyes....I dont care if he's on a wingchair, carried by other ducks, lost, stupid, blind, old, tired, muslim or just wanting to die by sucide by Redneck... I dont care if you call it or I call it or even if the duck is deaf I dont care.........if it flies slow enough and low enough and straight enough I kill it enough to eat it. Other than that I'll shoot at it and give it something to laugh about with his buddies while they dine on rice and smartweed.
I feed big cookies to Gamewardens and hot coffee I even let them sit on the left side of the blind.
A water turkey cooked over medium coals for 2 hours is sure good eating.

Cookies?
I've been fed porkchop sandwiches in the blind...fresh off the grill...of course, that was in a real duck blind near Crowder.
I would expect cookies in Tunica.

I suppose this is a bad time to bring up skillet shooting and its merits.

I didn't say I would never water swat one I called in, hehehehehe
I've said it before but in order to get three greenheads, I'll water swat the first, shoot the second just as it unfolds it's wings to get up, and the third about 5 foot off the water.
For some other oddball reason I like to line up their heads just to see how many I can get.
I guess we all have our own vices and shortcomings, but the above is always done away from the dekes. I hate when folks shoot the water around a good deke.
I just grew up in such good waterfowlin' that if you didn't sit it on the water you were not supposed to shoot. Ducks were flushed for the shot, but that was when there was ducks and they would work.
I was pretty old when I saw someone shoot a duck above the trees for the first time.
