well I went to the Rocky store when they were still open @ west point and go in on the 75.00 waders and I love em. I got the 3.5 because a friend of mine bought some5 mm and some of the other ppl Iknow got the 5's said that they burn up in em. So I went with the 3.5's. If it's below 35 I but on jeans and thermals, above no thermals. That usally works out well for me .It just doesnt stay cold enough down here long enough for me to see buying the 5's......... I love em. I still keep my canvas one for a extra pair.

What I like about the neopreme is that, when it's warm or when I have to walk a ways, I can roll them down to my waist and they stay up really well. Neopreme also patches better/easier than canvas. I like the 3.5's faced with an abrasion resistant cloth. I tell you one thing, those Rocky neo's with the narrow ankle are a heart attack waiting to happen when you are in a hurry in the morning. They make it hard on a fat man! After about two times wrestling with those suckers, my son is now the proud owner of two pairs!

It all depends on what kind of hunting you do. I have both and will use the canvas when I'm in the really thick brush that will tear the Neo to pieces. If i'm hunting open marsh or flooded timber the Neo's are better.
Some of you die hard neo people would be buying new ones this year if you had followed me to our hard hole. Hadn't had one Neo to survive the trip yet.

First pair of neo's I bought were the 5mm, and I burnt up in them. Bought a pair of the 3.5 much better. Only problem is getting my big booty in them. My so called hunting buddy told when I have them on I look just like the michelin tire man. He's lucky he beat my fat booty back to the truck, it would have been a long walk back to the highway!
