Where exactly IS hunters haven? I am in Tupelo a good bit and would not mind checking it out.

It is off of Hwy 6 West on cliff gookin blvd.
Are you pretty familiar with tupelo? If so I will tell more.

Almost any single reed call - cheaper the better.

I'm suprised to hear several others mention Yentzen as a favorite. I have never blown one or heard ANYONE blow one that I liked. But they been around long enough that at least some ducks must like 'em. I figure if you had success with a Yentzen, you could have been twice as successful with something else. My .02

hey Dutch, break your Primos apart and you wll see notches in the reed where you can adjust your call.. idiot proof.. even i can do it... shorten the reed for less wind too blow... pretty good call for me.. everyone is different..

call Greg Hood in Clarksdale. He is a multi-time Ms and regional calling champion. He makes southern game calls but the best call for the money is his acrylic Little Joel. I bought 4 of them at the Ms wildlife extravaganza last August for a total of $100 (25 each )
