First time on this site, but I have been hunting okatibbee for 17 years being a transplant from North Carolina. I have found the hunting at the resevoir to be better than average, but you have to be willing to hunt flooded wooded areas. We have killed an ample number of greenheads this year along with woodies. We will not shoot mergansers but have seen a good many. [/quote]

I have hunted Okatibbee off and on for over twenty years. I haven't seen many mallards. I wouldn't count them shovelers Bigdog. And whats wrong with mergansers, they taste like catfish.

The little bridge is still my favorite spot at Highland. Not sure what they are, but them big ugly ducks (Muscovy) taste good. Easy to hit for sure.

Have a happy new year :) :)

You must be the skybuster I keep hearing about. You can't see em if you don't let em come down.
When you have shot one bird flying you have shot all birds flying. They are all different and they fly in different ways but the sensation is the same and the last one as good as the first.
