I'll make a trip in for it this spring. Worst thing that they could have done with the majority of that "habitat" in the big lake was to put it under water.

I'm up for it. Don't hunt the rez, but I'd like to at least give somebody else a chance to carry their kids. Just let me know so I can hold that weekend open.

Anat, you know it would take a lot more than that to help my shooting! :D

Duckmen this is probablly the best thread that has ever been posted on this forum. I aint never been in the rez but I would be willing to buy a hundred trees or so and help do some habitat work. If you are going to do this I would reccomend having the trees in the ground before March. I have seen several plantings in March that have survived but I have seen them failures too. I would try to stick with it being done in Feb.

Dan,
I would love to help. Sounds like a very worth while and noble project.

Heck, I'll do it, if for a lack of any other reason, to see Jenny kiss your but. There must be photos taken and posted!!!

Hey Jenny, did you mean futurition?
futurition \Fu`tu*ri"tion\, n. - The state of being future; futurity.

at·tri·tion n.
1. A rubbing away or wearing down by friction.
2. A gradual diminution in number or strength because of constant stress.
3. A gradual, natural reduction in membership or personnel, as through retirement, resignation, or death.
4. Repentance for sin motivated by fear of punishment rather than by love of God.

I think you meant in the context of #4 didn't ya?

I believe he was going for "fruition" - fru·i·tion n. Realization of something desired or worked for; accomplishment: labor finally coming to fruition.

I'll try finding y'all some seedlings and provide demonstration as to the proper technique.

It doesn't have to be done just to create more ducks even though I think it will anyway.

I think there's pretty good duck habitat there now, but I'd still like to help plant the trees.
