If I invite someone to do anything, from dinner at the house, to hunting and fishing, I don’t expect them to do anything or pay anything. I’m not gonna provide their shells, but I view an invitation as a gift to someone with no expectations of things in return. That’s just me though.

Need to pick friends closely. Some are always going to be cheap and you probably know this if you have been friends long enough. Like college, there is always one roommate that never buys food but eats all yours. As for hunting and fishing and skiing etc I always try and go above and beyond to help if invited but with most of my friends it is a fight to make them take a dime and vice versa. That is when you find out who your real friends are.
