It is. I've seen a few makers do it. They pour "casting acrylic" over corn, then turn that down into a call. But it has it's drawbacks. The acrylic does not impregnate the corn. So when they turn the call, you have open corn kernels.

Well yes, I see what you mean. There's definitely corn that's been cut open. I'll bet rice would work better if you could get it to orient correctly during the pouring process?

It's still kind of a neat novelty item that I've never seen before. Thanks for posting.
