Wolf question

Looks almost like it. He is larger then a german shepherd by far. Never thought to think of it being that. Seeing him at a distance then seeing him up close was a big difference in size.

That would be my bet. Wolf Dog. They use them to patrol the inner parameter of the Angola Prison fence. My understanding is that they are illegal to own. That said, I remember growing up with a guy that had parents raising them.
