So thankful for Google!
I had the same question Andy.Wildfowler wrote:What's a fratstar?
Boat shoes, polos, costas and croakies, yeti visor, pastel shorts, credit card linked to daddy's bank account, and the belief that constantly flashing the Drake and Yeti emblem on their apparel/vehicles makes them an outdoorsman.Wildfowler wrote:What's a fratstar?

Let me retro some ol school for ya!!!![]()
Boat shoes(penny loafers), polos(button downs), costas(ray bans) and croakies(i dont know what the hell that is), yeti visor(no hats, hats werent cool), pastel shorts(still applied then), credit card linked to daddy's bank account, and the belief that constantly flashing the Drake(cabelas or browning) and Yeti emblem(?members only?? i have no comparison) on their apparel/vehicles makes them an outdoorsman.
But i assure you that Tate didn't get into the outdoor gear market cause he thought it would be $#!+ gear.novacaine wrote:NyssaAquatica wrote:I guess its timeless since people were saying this back in the 80's........Wildfowler wrote:What's a fratstar?

For sure, that was not his intention. To be fair, Drake gear isn't particularly bad or good, they just suffer from having (in my experience) a douchey customer base.novacaine wrote: But i assure you that Tate didn't get into the outdoor gear market cause he thought it would be $#!+ gear.
Just my observation.
I dont actually use a lot of said $#!+ gear but am for one glad to know if i need it, there are many, many, many more items and lines to choose from now as opposed to times of old.
As Capt Call told Newt before they loaded up to steal horses from across the river "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it".
That would be around 100% coverage i bet................speaking in terms of delta folk.NyssaAquatica wrote:For sure, that was not his intention. That's what i want to know...Wildfowler wrote:What do the non-douche bag hunters like to wear?
Whatever they want, really. Nothing's monolithic, but there are trends among the Drake/Yeti/UnderArmour customer base not seen elsewhere. You know it when you see it, and fortunately these fellas tend to self-identify, such as wearing facepaint and your call lanyard to eat before/after the hunt as I've seen on many occasions in Greenwood.Wildfowler wrote:What do the non-douche bag hunters like to wear?

Is Filson the only USA brand anymore?
Most of the items on their site now say where they are made.Wildfowler wrote:I thought I remembered reading a while back that some of Filson garments are made outside USA? Don't remember where or which garments or if that's even correct?
