Best QB on the team gonna play; doesn't matter how they got there....... freshmen new out of high school, JC transfer, D1 transfer, sent from heaven above, etc. If any player (not just QBs) doesn't get that, they're going to have a rough time in sports. Just ask ol' Tony Romo.
As an aside, I've been nothing but impressed with Tony Romo. Head down, work hard, help the team. Hope he lands somewhere like Peyton did.

Freeze had no obligation to Buchanan. And Buchanan had every right to laugh in Freeze's face when he asked him to come back. I hope Ryan took great pleasure in telling him to pizz off.

We can agree to disagree but I bet if you were in his shoes, biding your time, and attending practices and it was your turn at the plate after Wallace left, then Freeze goes over to Last Chance U and recruits Kelly(he was recruited, not knocking down the doors wanting to get in at UM...read willing to go anywhere someone would give him a shot) you would be pissed. He went out and picked a talented, yet troubled reject all in the name of winning.
What in the world are you talking about? Sure he's going to be disappointed. As any kid would by not starting. No one wants to be second string, but should you just give up a better player because the person infront of them is a senior and been practicing hard for 4 years but they just aren't better than the incoming freshman or new player? No.
College football is a what have you done for me lately sport, and if you think ANY coach in the nation is going to let a better quarterback slip through their fingers while not "doing wrong" to someone who had been there for a few years, you're insane.

I agree, Stang. I expected the first half to be rocky, but did not see that 4th quarter show coming. What I liked the most - the team tried to carry Patterson off the field and he made them stop. In the interview, he said this win was for the seniors.
Great to see a recruited QB on the field and it looked like the team bought in. He's gonna be fun to watch methinks.

Patterson looks legit. SEC QB play is going to be fun to watch the next few years with all the young guys in the league.
