FSU is starting a QB that has never taken a snap in college football. His last real snap was two years ago in High School. That alone, to me, is enough to put the Rebels over the top. I really think OM will not only win, but blow them out.

I saw Maguire got hurt so that is a plus for Ole Miss.

I thought the State boys said we could only talk about Ole Miss if the topic was NCAA penalties??

I've been worried about this one for the Rebs, hard to come out first game and play a team as good and as well coached as FSU, especially on their turf. But I like the physical matchups and I think Kelly's experience gives a slight edge. I'm saying OM in a barfight by one pool cue.

I just don't see it being a close game. I think OM is going to beat them badly.

I don't see that happening. I expect FSU's D to be too good to be blown out by anyone this year. Ole Miss will HAVE to establish some sort of run game to have a chance. Kelly can't beat FSU by himself. FSU does have an unproven qb (Maquire isn't a whole lot better though) but they do have one of the top backs in college football and some weapons at WR and TE. This game WILL 100% go in the favor of who turns the ball over less. At this point, the outcome of the game is a total toss-up. I'm an FSU fan and can see this game going either way, especially after the loss to Houston last year. However, I predict FSU wins 34-21 due to having lost fewer impact players than Ole Miss.

Well that was a very interesting game. Just when FSU was looking like a major choke artist they woke up and absolutely dominated Ole Miss. This game showed what I have been saying for a long time and that is the schemes Ole Miss uses are boom or bust and too inconsistent to win championships. Yeah they will win some big games but they will lose some games they should not and at times just look horrible.

The Ole Miss D was on the field too long last night and it ended up gassing them at the end. Like I said in my prediction post, they HAVE to find a weapon other than Kelly to consistently beat top teams. FSU made great adjustments at the half both defensive and offensive. Ole Miss took us to the woodshed in the first half but we returned the favor and then some in the second half.

At least they were the most politically correct of the two teams so that's a win I rekon. No cornel reb, flag, or Dixie. Guess being an Indian means you got balls and not easily offended. I still got em as the 2nd best team in the west and that bama game could be the season saver but they can't lose anymore players or they are toast on defense.

Well, I was right in the first half at least...

FSU made adjustments...OM did not adjust to those adjustments. OM is going to win a lot of games this year though.

OM got beat by a better team. Outcoached in the second half, badly. Key players kept getting drug off the field on carts in positions where we had little depth, but that happens. D line was as advertised, although if your D spends 42 minutes on the field in any game you are probably beat. Linebackers did a solid job, secondary is in trouble.

The new crop of WR's is gonna be fun, fun to watch and the O line did as good a job as you can expect against a really good defense.

We still got no running game and that is going to be a major problem.

Big props to FSU for not folding, especially Francois.

Need to work on halftime adjustments.....
