You talkin about them regins? Not a big fan of them and it probably wouldn't be acceptable to walk around the quarter with a 1911 on my hip either would it?
If you do choose New Orleans, CARRY YOUR GUN!. I positive Louisiana accepts MS CCP holders, and if I'm not mistaken Louisiana is an open carry state.

I've never spent time in Nashville, but I'd pick Nashville over New Orleans.

If I had the option over the 2, and I took my wife to Nashville I'd probably end up divorced - at the very least sleeping outside. If you've been to New Orleans and vomit-smell is all you remember, then you didn't leave the FQ and most likely not Bourbon Street. 13 blocks in a city that's roughly 170 square miles. There is so much more there. Are parts of Nola shady? Yes, but I'm pretty sure most of the people on here have spent time in Greenville, Jackson, and.... Clarksdale. Parts are lily white and not tourist traps. The music scene is great in both cities, New Orleans should be in the top 3 of any list of best American Dining.

We got 3 or 4 times a year and I have NEVER felt the need for a gun.

I feel the need to carry my gun EVERYwhere I go. Especially New Orleans. Just check the crime rates. I'd carry in Nashville too. Just like I carry in Starkville Ms. I have a fire extinguisher at my house. Hope I never need it, but it's there if I do. Same with the gun.

I agree. My wife and I have been going to NO at least twice a year for the last 10 years. Never once feared for my life. Pretty interesting to see all the "lock and load" comments for NO when statistically speaking you're more likely to be a victim of a crime in Nashville. Guess it's just folks perception that NO is more dangerous cause it's "darker".
