It's called job security. Kiffin will be used as the scapegoat, while Saban will keep making his 7 mil or however much it is.
Re: my thoughts on Saturday night
Only reason I can think of that Saban wanted Kiffin was because he is a good recruiter. He can recruit top rated quarterbacks. Someone on ESPN had some stats on Alabama vs top 15 ranked teams the last three years and it was pretty bad. They have given up a ton of points to the up tempo offenses. Looked bad vs Ohio State last year. Looked bad vs Oklahoma the year before. Looked bad against Manzel. Auburn has scored a bunch on them.

As I have stated before, Saban has fits with mobile QBs. Heck, Jordan Jefferson beat him twice.bigoak wrote:Only reason I can think of that Saban wanted Kiffin was because he is a good recruiter. In all fairness, he won the SEC Championship with Blake Sims as QB.

You think Saban needs a fall guy at Bama? He could murder a Baptist preacher on live TV in Alabama and they would not fire him. He has the safest job in America.

Yea but Blake Sims played above and beyond anyone's pre-determined potential of him AND he had a great group of players around him AND the play calling was much more conservative last season than it was last Saturday night AND LK is just a DA and no one likes him.webbmaster wrote:In all fairness, he won the SEC Championship with Blake Sims as QB.

Are we gonna get wet?

Haha....yep, he's the only guy I ever heard of who got fired, when the team plane landed, and he stepped on the tarmac.
